Privacy Policy
Effective October 9, 2026. This policy covers the Meridian Radio apps for iOS and Android and the website meridian-radio.pages.dev, made by 99francs.agency (“we”).
The short version
Meridian Radio has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. We do not collect, store or share any personal data.
What stays on your device
- Your favorite stations, the last station you listened to, and your settings (theme, receiver skin, language, filters).
- Sleep timer and alarm settings.
This information is stored only on your device and is never sent to us. Deleting the app deletes it. On the website, only your theme choice is kept in your browser’s local storage.
Listening to stations
The station directory is bundled with the app. When you play a station, your device connects directly to that broadcaster's streaming server to receive the audio. Like any internet connection, the broadcaster's server sees your IP address and may apply its own policies; we have no access to that data.
On the website, playing a station also asks the open Radio Browser directory for the station’s current stream address (which counts an anonymous “click” for that station), and searches that find little in our catalog may query the same directory. Fonts are served by Google Fonts. The website itself is hosted on Cloudflare Pages.
Permissions
- Notifications (Android) — to show playback controls while the radio plays in the background.
- Alarms — to wake you up with a station at the time you set.
Neither permission is used to collect data.
Children
The app does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
